Thank you to everyone who continues to support our journey and champion the mission behind Lit Motors!
As a reminder, our Wefunder campaign is coming to an end—this is your last chance to invest at this lower valuation. We’ve made incredible progress, and we’re so excited to bring you into this next phase.
We’ve got some big updates to share with you this month—from a major milestone at ARPA-E to new team additions!
🚀 ARPA-E Milestone Achieved!
We’re proud to announce a leap forward in our platform development! This month at the ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit in Washington, D.C., we successfully validated our dynamic vehicle platform using custom-designed sub-scale gyroscopes and our proprietary control model.

We had the chance to demo our sub-scale prototype live at ARPA-E, creating a “gravity-defying” moment. It was an encouraging experience being surrounded by curious onlookers and innovators from all over the country.
Why does this matter? The control system running our sub-scale demo will be used in conjunction with our augmented steering system to develop our production-facing self-balancing 2-wheel EV.
While we retraced and demonstrated the core capability in our original driving prototype, which had technical ceiling in terms of control and performance. Validating this new control model gave our engineering team the confidence needed to move forward. They believe integrating it with our augmented steering system will unlock the safety, performance, and accessibility essential for everyday driving. Congratulations to the team!

This sets the stage for commercialization, and with the EV market booming and infrastructure expanding, the timing couldn’t be better

👥 New Team Member!
We’re thrilled to welcome Brian Hamilton, a retired Engineering Fellow from Honeywell Aerospace, to the team as our newest Controls Engineer!

Brian brings 42 years of experience in Dynamics and Controls in advanced aerospace systems and 12 patents, with a deep background in Control Moment Gyroscopes (CMGs) starting at Sperry Corporation. He’ll be working closely with David Bailey (VP of Controls) and the Dynamics team to further enhance our CMG performance.
Brian’s insights and technical rigor are already proving to be an invaluable asset as we scale our system for real-world applications.
🎥 Brian Underhill Interview
We recently sat down with Brian Underhill, another one of our Controls Engineers, to talk about his time at Honeywell and what drew him to Lit Motors.
Brian shares his experience working on Momentum Control Systems and why the mission at Lit resonates so deeply with him.
We love seeing our technology resonate with new audiences. Expect more demo clips and behind-the-scenes footage from ARPA-E to drop soon.
🎉 12-month Success! You supported. We Delivered!
Thank you for your support in financing Lit’s developmental sprint last year. In 2024, you showed up and we grew, got organized, built, and delivered.
From 3D printing CMGs, welding a full-scale chassis, partnering with Ideenion, expanding our IP portfolio, hiring C-level team members, and testing our control model. We accomplished a ton with $1.5M. 2025 to 2026 is all about developing a full-scale driving prototype. We are excited to share our plans. Please go to our Wefunder campaign and fund our X-1 prototype development. $3.2M left.
Check our our social channels for behind-the-scenes footage from the ARPA-E Summit, live demo clips, and more exciting content from our journey. We’ll be sharing in the coming weeks!
Thank you all for your encouragement, support, and investment in our mission!
More updates coming soon!
